But it was worth it in my opinion. I actually bought both as I consider it unique. Only 100 of these were ever produced. It’s only 20 years old but it’s considered rare. Why? Because it was produced for a marriage. Yes, a marriage and this was handed out to the guests by the bride and groom. NGC had a hand in this other than the grading and stabbing of the token. (Read the label.) Pure copper and this is #76 out of 100. It’s for the marriage of David Walter Lange to Alba Iris Acosta, which took place in Parsippany N.J. on 8-18-2001. I think it’s neat.
Was it handed out slabbed? In any case very cool wedding party favor! I wish I would have done something like that… Maybe for our silver jubilee? Will keep it in mind.
I’m sure it was but I don’t know how to prove except from the label. The label says from NGC, CGC and SGC. It’s like his friends and coworkers did this for him. To me it’s an unusual slab, one worth buying, not that I paid a lot for it.
David has been with NGC for a long time. So, what better gift could the staff of these three companies give to the two of them by having these slabbed for them?
I buy slabs. There's nothing wrong with that. UNLESS you pay more for it than you can sell it for. Then there's something wrong with it!
