my grandmother recently recieved some coins from her mother and she has no idea of their worth . the first is a 1833 1/2 of a dime(instead of nickel) and the other was either a 1843 or 1823 nickel and she wants to know what they are worth any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
1833 half dime ranges from 25.00 in g4 to 250.00 in au. I need sommore info on the othercoin. No nickel pieces were issued in either year. Half dimes yes, nickels no. Can you get some pics to post.
Ebay is a good place to check too. Go to the US coins section and search. Bear in mind that the coin is probably worth more than what they are going for as everyone is searching for a bargain there. Good luck.
