I am feeling Lucky today!! Large Red Seal $20 LT in PCGS CHCU63

Guy's...when it rains it pours! A friend just called me on this note and is holding it for me on Lay-a-way!
I sent a 30% deposit to secure this....

Today I also bought the $20 National Bank Note Date Back from New York.....
I feel very lucky to have dealer friends like this person.

I am thrilled to add these 2 notes today...here is the $20 Large Red Seal Legal Tender Note!!
( The Large Red Seal is much more difficult to locate)

Enjoy...It is in a PCGS 63PPQ holder!!

Not as low a serial number as mine though, mine is D114 from the Vernon McClung series of 1880. Back in those days for the ones that wouldn't know, serial numbers were not set as 00000etc. like today, they started out with 1 or 2 digits and progressed without zero placeholders like now.

These just are lovely notes, too bad they couldn't have kept some elements of the design into this era, particularly Columbia of course.

Yes, RickieB, when it rains it pours. I went through a drought of the noble metal, then I occasioned upon quite a bit, and in one instance for coin paid 75% of melt on half ounce coins. Now I am going on a paper money drought after the Long Beach sale. I have no more fun in paper until mid October.

 

that makes the two of us i have acquired 5 new targets even if i get one or 2 it will be big
