Okay, I would really like to get one of these either the set raw or a graded reverse proof by itself and then get the other two separately at perhaps better prices.

My question is this, since currently the prices are inflated for the reverse proof as it is the only silver reverse available at present, would it be more prudent to wait until the new set comes out in October to try and snag one of the 06 proofs, my thinking is that everyone will be scrambling for the new one and allowing for some softening of the 06 prices? Or do most here think it won't help or matter because then everyone will want both and drive prices up on each?

Like I said, hypothetical question since that is still a few months away.

I watched two different sets yesterday go for around $ 400 each for the 3 coin set. I have them in my watch list because I want an extra set right now before the new ones come out.

I've been seeing roughly the same thing. I keep some of the sets and the singles in my watch listing as well.

It's really hard to gauge what will happen with these '06 sets now that there is going to be a new reverse eagle issued this year, but I will say one thing. I do believe that people getting the 25th anniversary set, who missed out on the '06, are going to be wanting to add that set to their collections. New eagle collectors arrive on the scene continuously, and they compete for these ('06) sets and keep prices high. Surely I've got no crystal ball. Hey, I'm the guy who paid double for a '99 State Quarters silver set for what you can get 'em at now.

I can see your point on the desire to have both when the new sets come out. I would be in the same boat...if I have one I would most likely want the other.......I am leaning toward getting a set if I can find a price I can live with.......
