Hi everyone, I just wanted to do a quick check in. How is everybody? I've been down in the dumps for a while. One of my mental health issues is depression and it hits like a ton of bricks every now and then. But, I check in on the forum several times a day because seeing your new coins and postings of not so new coins excites me for a few moments. There's nothing new to report coin wise from me or my brother (he's discovered Funko Pops) Here are the coins that mean the most to me: Feel free to post any random coins you want to. They rock! But, most importantly, you guys rock! Erin
Way cool Erin! Nice pair of prutahs! LOL, a few times I saw you "liking" and "lurking" and I was gonna call you out! Great post! Gosh, ALL my coins are cool to me! Here is a random toss-out: RR Rutilius Flaccus 77 BCE Roma Biga wreath S 318 Cr 387-1
Hi Erin! Nice prutot Looks like a Deacon Ray insert? He is so artistic. Sorry to hear about your depression; glad you have CoinTalk as a diversion. You have friends here CoinTalk has been one of the few bright spots in my life lately too. Hurricane recovery is not going smoothly or cheaply. I'm extremely stressed trying to juggle repairs, work, my elderly mother, my very ill brother... My fuse is very short these days
This is my only bronze prutah ca. 9-11 AD. It was struck under the Roman procurator in Judaea, Marcus Ambibulus. It was given to me by the woman that raised me as a child. Sorry, I understand that it is sometimes considered rude to post only one side but it is the only photo available.
Believe this or not, with over 300 people on my FB, most relatives, classmates, and friends all of which I know personally, I think more of you all than I do of most of them. So, take care of yourself. Life is too short and we are all brothers and sisters of a great hobby and have more in common than most would think. Wouldn't it be nice if we could organize various get together's across the country to finally get to know each other better.
..of all the meds and different bullsxxt for depression, i've have found that having X-mas lights up and on cures mine..i swear by it and now do not take any pills or anything...whenever i feel it coming on I turn'em on and "poof!".. it's outta here!.try it!
Hi Everyone, Thanks for your words of encouragement and support. Yes, TIF, those are from Deacon Ray. You've had such a rough go this past year. I admire your perseverance. CoinTalk is a good safe place for me, that's why I'm always lurking, even though I haven't been posting lately. Y'all pwn, never change. Erin
From someone who fights depression everyday just like you I just wanted to say its good to see you here. I really need to get a picture of my recent (and first) ancient purchase...
Hi JDF. I pray God and always hope the best for all people. And who is not depressed in the world nowadays. Personally, I try to walk or go to the sandy beach and sit there to behold the sea and listen to the waves. I can also sip a small drink or take vitamin B. We can always do something, believe me. There are too many things to be said anyway. Time will come.. For the time being, I chose this ancient amphora. It makes me feel happy and cheerful, because it reminds me of how ancient people used to produce such artifacts to fill them with wine and enjoy life. It's all a matter of self-persuasion and..and... Cheers.
Hey Erin, good to hear from you...hang in there! I had to look up what funko pops were, like little bobble head things? I was bummed out the other night and watched silly dog videos on youtube...LOL! It kind of worked! (I dig dogs!). Maybe this will help!
