A few years ago I bought some uncleaned ancient Romans. I stuck them in a container of olive oil for a couple weeks. After seeing little results I went to the wire brush and tarnx. Just before joining CT I was under my slop sink and found a coin still sitting in the oil (Diocletian.) The only one I didn't murder. How'd you pick yours? http://i333.photobucket.com/albums/m376/impavg/GEDC1315.jpg http://i333.photobucket.com/albums/m376/impavg/GEDC1319.jpg
I was brand new and didn't even know what a numismatic was....I just knew I wanted to try coins as a hobby.. I basically picked my name because sterling was taken and stainless was my 2nd favorite metal stainless
I use to play fantasy role play games and allways thought that Orc's had a bad rep LOL ever read a book called 'Grunts'?
Have been collecting/searching Full Step Nickels and now varieties for over 20 years. Every time I came back from a show with something other than nickels my wife makes the comment "I thought you where a nickelman". Nickelman
snaz: fits in the name slot for 4 lettered names in video games, had it for years, also... it fit in Final fantasy 1! my favorite game ever
Mine means "Earth-Seer" in Elvish. I got tired of coming up with a new number combination to put after my old screename, and I hate those meaningless numbers. 'Ardatirion' has worked every time I've tried it.
It's where I live and what I do. To mainlanders, it's usually good to start a conversation. I always thought people would like to talk about our islands as foreign, yet part of America. Then I like to direct them to our blogspots where they can see all our wild turtles, monk seals and ocean life. To me it's good fun.
When I was a kid in school I read Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' translated in Hindi (I still don't understand his English:headbang and I always tried to memorize Romeo's lines to impress the girls at school (And I still try at University).LOL:mouth: Thats how I thought of this alias.
The University I attended and the year I graduated. My other online screen name is ACPitBoss, which I use for poker sites. I was afraid if I used that in a coin chatroom, I would be bombarded with questions about work.
well no particular reason but i believe it was daggar or Lehigh or joe that came up with a very hilarious reason. per them its the lower limit on what i will spend on a coin
Yup, I do think so. The year I won College Student's Union Vice President's post; there were more girls campaigning for me than my nearest rival.
