starting next year and years afterward, u.s. mint is gonna produce a lot of new products. i should said more new coins. and most of us were already spent a lot for this hobby. how can you earn or save more money to meet future mint products?. do some overtime?, play stock market for a fortune?. less spending for other stuffs?. or sell some coins?.

I haven't ordered from the mint since 2003 and am not going to start again....I have picked up about 1 mint set and 1 proof set from my dealer since them but the Mint is nothing more than what Vision said.....

The mint is getting just like the Baseball Card Co.
In the begining they had just the normal BB card sets. Then they started with Gold cards, Inserts, auto, die cuts
And it became harder to complete sets as a kid I put sets together from 68 to 90 by trading with friends
Then it just got to be to costly to try anymore
If the mint keeps it up they are going to do what the card cos. did Make to hard to put a complete set together with so many subsets
    IMHO

When they start producing things just to be collectible, they are no longer collectible.

Mow lawns or if I get desparate I might just pimp myself out to rich old ladies.

Mowing lawns will not bring in the $$$--about $15-$25 a lawn...that is what I do---and then when it snows I'm out of work!

Guess I will just have to mow about 15 to 20 lawns a day. Of course I will have to do this after 1700 when I get off of my regular job.

As long as the Mint doesn’t start a 50 State Roosevelt dimes program I’ll be safe. :p

I mow about 1-3 lawns a week....but then one of the ladys I mowed for died so I kindof lost that job....so it will be about 1 maybe 2 a week....

I'm planning on finding a Cherrios Sac in pocket change. Downhill from there.

anyone ever watch the TV show Friends??? There is always the possibility in making money the same way Joey's agent allways suggested. As for me, im with Joey, who alwasy turned the job down.

I will somehow convince the wife that collecting is a good way to spend money -- maybe i will just quote Speedy's signature to her :D ...

Do a search on "Cheerios" on this site, and you’ll get a boatload of info.

The short version is, the Mint made an early run of 2000P Sacagaweas that were included in boxes of Cheerios as a promotion. It was discovered only a few months ago that the early run has a different tail feather design than all the later Sacs. Because only about 5000 were minted, these Sacs are getting outrageous sums on ebay; $2500-$6000, IIRC.

so essentialy, finding one in circulation will be a needle in a very large haystack scenario ... too bad...

You have just about much chance of finding one as I have of finding a rich old lady to pimp myself out to :)
