Through all of this mess, I am still getting the mail. I guess their old saying is true - "neither rain, not sleet.....". Anyway, I got this yesterday. It is REAL nice in hand. The only distraction I see is the nick on the beard. What do you think NGC would grade it?
Reverse looks perfect! Beautiful color too. the beard nick, lapel nick, and cheek ding....I would say MS 63 Rd
Don't forget, that image is bigger than it is in hand, and that chin banger is only sorta huge, but in a bad place. They will take rest of coin into consideration, which is beautiful, and nicely struck for a 20's Lincoln. My money says 63RD at least. PS: Glad to hear your gettin thru that bad weather ok ( pun intended ) in OK !!
Man, beautiful RLM! Wow. I'd say MS 64 R IMO. If that gash wasn't there, man, then you'd have a heck of a coin. But still a heck of a coin IMO. Very nice cent man! :thumb: Phoenix
The reverse is pretty clean, but there are plenty of hits on the obverse. That's actually two nasty hits on the chin. It looks like somebody already has slabbed that coin, but I figure NGC would say 63. Looks like it's also an RPM by the way.
My guess is 65 and I would be surprised if they would grade it less than 64. You might be right about the RPM. Here is a close up of the date.
