Is there a difinitive way to tell a Type-C Washington? Pictures detailing differences would be great help. Everything I have seen just makes me think a well struck Type A will look like a Type C with sharper edges, complete leaves, etc. What is the key to telling one from the other?

Wow...not one idea on how to definitively tell a Type-C Washington....I am shocked. I believe I found 1 or two in a friends family silver hoard I have been searching, but want to ensure they are not just nice Type A's

Thank you. I have looked at that...the challenge is a very well struck 64-D Type A and a not so perfect struck 64-D Type C begin to appear the same, or if there is slight wear, well I have not been able to tell the difference. I have far too many examples where I can see the arrow tips, the leaves touch the tail, and you can make out the arrow feathers better...cannot all be Type-C's
