I've just found a 1943 steel cent along with 3 Wheaties and a Canadian in one roll. (the look on my face!) Is there anything I should know about taking care of this steel cent or should I just put it in my container with all my other Wheaties? Thanks!
Welcome to the forum. If it's just an average circulated steelie, you don't really have to do anything besides keep it away from moisture.
I have some shiny ones that have stayed protected in intercept shield albums and holders. How they made it that long without protection I have no idea. Most people have never seen a steel cent much less what they originally looked like.
Alright, thanks for the info guys, i didn't know about the moisture thing so thanks, I appreciate it!
