Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I can't search on here for the richest trove of info, i.e. rpm, ddo etc., because those search terms are too short. Is there a way around this? Thanks.
You could do a forum search , by subject and see what comes up....but you're better off using one or more of the links given to find the correct information . You can always google a variety and quess what 9 times out of 10 it will give you a link to this site to a thread your interest was about.
If you wish to use CT search, instead of using acronyms (abbreviations) spell out the full words. eg: doubled die obverse etc But granted, that will only find posts where the full words have been spelled out. As others mentioned, while a standard Google search will lead to links here on CT more often than not, there is a way to search CT and just CT with Google. I always found it best to use Google Advanced Search, as opposed to there standard search. And I keep a link to the Advanced Search page in my bookmarks bar so I always have quick and easy access to it. https://www.google.ca/advanced_search Once on the page, type in the 2nd box down - site:cointalk.com DDO - exactly like that, (don't forget the space after .com), then hit your enter key. Now you can replace DDO with DDR or RPM or whatever search term you wish to use and it will only bring up results found on CoinTalk.
