In the reply, click the 3rd icon from the right which looks like a picture frame with tree as the picture to insert or link to a picture.

Shoot. Just tried that Rodeo and it worked. Dang thing never used to.....at least for me.

Here's what I've been doing. Click 'reply' then click 'advanced'. In the advanced screen I click on that 'paperclip icon' (on the toolbar) and upload files from my computer there.

I use photobucket. I probably have about 500 pictures I've uploaded to it over the past 8 years. It's free to use. It downsizes the pictures and stores them in albums you create. You can leave individual albums open to the public or lock them and keep them private. You can edit pics there and re-size them. I believe it automatically downsizes them and makes them more ideal for e-mailing and posting on forums. Which is why a lot of people use it.
Once you've uploaded pics there, you just go to the album you need, (public or private) put your cursor arrow over a picture and you'll get a total of 4 drop down bars. The very bottom one has "IMG" by it. That is the format for that link. That is the one I use for forums. Left click on the link once. Come to the forum, make a post, right click and paste the link in your post wherever you want it. It will show up as a link, but once you post it the picture will show up to the forum. I'm pretty sure this lessens the site's server load by keeping the pics stored off site but people can still view them. This method also allows you to place the photo where ever you want within a post.

I keep the albums numbered and labeled well so it's easy to go back and find old pictures if I need them. Here's the first coin I bought as an adult when I got back into collecting in 2008. CBH 1820/19 This was in Coin Album 1, at the end of page 3. The most recent pics dropped in stay at the beginning of the album. So this was easy to find.
