    Here's a beautiful 2006 1/4 oz. Krugerrand in Proof . What grade would you give it ? I say PF-70 . You ?

Chances are it would grade 68 or 69. It is possible that it's a 70 but that's not something that can be decided from images.

I totally agree . I think this applies to a lot of coins uploaded here. It has to be looked at in person since Photos can be deceiving .Luckily when I've bought a coin online, its come to me in better condition than I had hoped .

I agree with this. I usually leave the supergrades (i.e., 66 and above) up to the professional third-party grading services. If that were mine, I'd simply call it "Gem Proof" and leave it at that. Maybe it would go 70 at a TPG, and maybe not. It would have to undergo some very close scrutiny.

If you made me guess/predict the TPG outcome, I'd say PR69 DCAM.

You do realize only 2,000 of these were made right??? On top of that this is proof, gold, and over an ounce... This thing is worth thousands.

No, this coin is only a quarter ounce. I know for sure no one in their right mind would buy this labeled as MS-70 without a holder.
