I thought it would be interesting to see the changes on the lincoln cent (obverse) over the years

he's got the evil eyebrows and a scowl now.

 

The 2009 actually looks less cartoonish than the 2008... but still nothing like the original

Also in the newer coins he needs a shave. The beard looks fake.

Lincoln was not a good looking man. They should find better looking people to put on a coin. How about Britney Spears or Jon Bon Jovi?

 

Pfft! When marketers rebrand the Union I'm sure they will go for the celeb thing followed by unique personalized coinage the way stamps can be created at home. LOL!

 

I think I might too after having my body nearly stolen, exhumed, placed under masses of concrete and had my hair messed up by the treasury in numerous portriats. :eating:
