I wouldn't say that, but would say if you do not know the coins you should know the dealer. I am not an expert in these per se, but it took me half a second to recognize its fake. The eagle and lettering are all wrong on the reverse. If you do not know ancients sir,vyou should always buy from a good dealer with a lifetime return policy for fakes. That is not picking on you, but it applies to everyone. If i start collecting a new area, i buy some coins from a trusted dealer to ensure i am not buying fakes.
I tend to agree with Medoraman- I think its important to build relationships with a trusted dealer. It is more important to learn how to spot fakes.(not even the experts are full proof) A few friends and fellow members here have collarborated for years to assemble resources to combat fakes, as well as too keep the ancient coin collectors a well educated and proud few.
