    Utterly rediculous. Probably works better with a Butane Torch. Or placing on a RR track.

    Amusing ! But a little bit painful.

    Interesting to hear his anti-slab condescension... then he abuses coins like that. <dude drops 1840 10c on floor> "How many of us have ever done that ?" answer: not all of us, pal !

    I've seen big, nasty fingerprints on otherwise glorious 19th-century proofs, because someone just had to "liberate" them and fat-finger them into an album.

    Now let's see him try to see those coins:
    - at the grade on the slab
    - for at least the same price as paid

    I strongly suspect the buyer will undergrade them.
    I strongly suspect the buyer will not pay the same as if they were slabbed.

    But since the collector said the coins will be in there long after he's gone, I don't think he's concerned.
