I'd say $95-100 on the nickel and 60-70 on the dime.

I'd try for $75 for the Buffalo and $60 for the Merc.

Since both a fairly common dates, hopefully you could pick up the 1938-D Buffalo Nickel for under $75 and the 1940-P Mercury Dime for under $50! The value of $100 and $65 respectively at www.pcgs.com is not too far off the current retail pricing for the coins so you might expect to have to pay a little more. However, it really depends on whether you are purchasing the coins through a Coin Dealer or off an auction site. The price for the coins on an auction site may be quite a bit lower since they are fairly common and many Collectors probably alreay have then in that grade!

    Good luck...Frank

I just grabbed it off coin values online which seems to run high.

    Morgan Dollar13,

I spoke a little too quick when I quoted the prices of both coins! The prices seemed to be the trend a couple of months back but after looking on eBay this morning and seeing the latest prices (which are quite a bit higher), it appears that there is a lot more interest in these coins.

The $50 quote was for a 1940-P Mercury Dime in MS-66 with FSB but the trends now for the coin in thiis grade, is much higher and may even go above the values that PCGS gives on their' website.
