How much is this error state quarter worth?

I received this in change and right away I knew it was special. It's a 2008 Alaska state quarter. The letters UNITED STATES OF AMERICA appear to have a shadow or light grey square area or lines between and above them starting with the letter D. The same thing on the ALASKA and star on the other side. I scanned one side but the quality isn't great. Any idea what it's worth? errorqua.jpg

Well for starters it would be nice to have a bigger picture so we can actually determine how much it's worth, if it's an error at all. To me it doesn't sound like an error, but wait for the experts to have a say. In the meantime, post some bigger pictures!

You scan is not big enough, nor clear enough to see what you're describing. However, from what you say, it sounds like post mint damage to the coin, and you have $.25.
