I have a 1970 coin mint set..it has a the two pennys with a s" stamp its a missed package ..can some one please tell me if its wourth anything
Welcome to Coin Talk Pappa Smurf. If I understand your question correctly, you have a 1970 mint set with 2 "S" Lincoln cents in it.....is that correct? If that is the case, then what you have is a simple error in packaging and is probably not worth much. The set should come with two lincoln cents....one that has no mintmark and the other which has an "S". The book value of this set is $15 and would probably sell for half....but here is the thing you need to do some research on. There were two types of 1970S Lincoln cents. One is a small date and the other is a large date. The large date set is worth the least. The small date is worth the most. If you have two "S" lincoln cents in your package, you have just doubled your chances to have the small date one. What would make this set very, very valuable is if you had one small date and one large date. I bet someone would pay big bucks for that. Please do some searching on here for small date vs. large date 1970 lincoln cents. Maybe someone on here will have some links for you. Good luck.
any chance you can take a picture and post it? close ups of each cent would be good - we can tell you then exactly what you do or do not have! Best of luck
Check to see if they (the 2 "S"'s) are RPM's - Check to see if they (the 2 "S"'s) are RPM's - RPM 001. Ken Potter aquired a mint set last year with the 2-S coins having this popular RPM S/S north.
