I kind of doubt many are going to feel comfortable speaking about how much they've spent. To me it's like asking someone how much they make in a year.

Why not? If you feel uncomfortable don't post. It's really not that sensitive of a subject I feel. I think it is interesting how seriously people take coin collecting, and how addicting it is as a hobby considering that we spend money for money.

If you really want to find out for interest, your best bet for getting answers would be created an anonymous poll with money range's for them to select, but I feel like someone did this very recently...

You caught me, I really want to know because I am part of a secret coin collecting census organization who is watching and analyzing everything you post and how much money you spend on collecting coins for reasons you can't know about at this time. I have already said too much.

I don't see why people are so secretive over what they spend on things. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what a car or house costs and people have no problem being seen in either of those. If I had the slightest idea what I've spent on coins, I'd give you an answer. But I don't keep track of prices paid or current values or anything. I'm sure it's enough to have bought my wife a warehouse full of shoes, though.
