how much are these worth?

    i have a 1919 p penny in POOR condition.
    i also have a 1946 nickle in GOOD condition.
    a 1953 d dime in FINE condition and a 1941 d penny in GOOD condition.
    AND A 1943 s WAR TIME CENT in FINE condition.
    can i get stories,facts, and or info?

    Hi, Those coins that you listed are not worth much money. You need to buy a "Guide book of United States Coins" (Red Book) about $15.00. If you don't have a coin store near you. I believe that you can buy them at Borders, or Barnes & Noble, You can also get one on ebay. Hope this helps.

    I actually was going off th top my head - :whistle:

    Since I started my job 6 months ago it seems like these type of prices are embedded in my brain.
    Grey Sheet, Blue Sheet, Green Sheet, Red Book - Heck -Im about color blind :rolleyes:

    budgood's values seem to be dead on, the other values are just Red Book, and his are real life.
    Buy a The Guide Book, edited by Ken Bressett.
    It will give you a good basic background on all US coin types, and moderately close valuations.
    The problem with teh Guide Book (also known as the Red Book) is that the book is printed six + months in advance of the cover date, and then has to be prepared prior to that date.
    However, it is a good historical study in valuations dating back to 1947.
    Good luck and read, read, read.

    of course you can put them in a small cigar box and sell it as a lost then found grandfather's Nebraska Bankbox horde on ebay.. probably net you $20 :)
