I have never sent anything out for grading, considering I don't think I have anything worth sending for grading. I still have bought a small number of slabbed coins, mostly Morgan Dollars, since the start of 2015. So far I have bought 14 slabbed coins in 2015, 8 MS-64 Morgans, 3 MS-63 Morgans, 2 MS-62 Morgans (One prooflike), and one 1946 MS-65 FB toned dime. 9 PCGS slabs and 5 NGC slabs. How many have you bought this year? DSC_0413.JPG DSC_0411.JPG DSC_0412.JPG

I bought a token from a CT member that was already in a NGC slab when he bought it. Other than that I have been slab free since 1999.

I get a good deal on the MS-64 Morgans. My coin dealer charges $55-$60 on common date MS-64 Morgans.

Other extreme here: Everything I've bought this year is slabbed. Figure it will make it easier for an heir to dispose of if something happens to me.

I have bought 3. Not because they were slabbed, but because I liked the coin. At some point they will be naked again.

I collect ancients. None in a slab.

None. As it is, I own only two from previous purchases a couple years ago.

Big difference between "How many have you bought" and "How many have you kept" for me :) Lots of fun flips from eBay & the US Mint this year!
I've only added maybe 5 slabbed examples to the collection and will be selling the Moderns from my NGC 7070 registry set soon, which makes for a net deficit of slabbed examples, but the quality of classic coins is improving and that makes me feel good.
