Twiggs,is that the Winter Olympic Games Loonie? I see that it is dated 2006,which was the year that the Winter Olympic Games were held in Turin.I haven't seen any of those Winter Olympic Games 25c. coins that are commemorating the 2010 Winter Olympic Games,which are coming to Vancouver.

The cuurent ones are about the size of that Loonie, but one does wonder why they made a coin so large. Oddly, the big'uns probably circulated more than the little ones ever will.

 

Yeah Aiden it is. The olympic quarters are very scarce in circulation.

 

No doubt they did. If I had to haul around that thing, I'd want to get rid of it too..lol
