Do you bag them or anything? I have a lot of half dollars and dollar coin rolls. I'm sure others do too.
I keep most of my rolls in old Green Monster Boxes. I've got some that I'm looking to sell in a cardboard box.
I keep the humidity in my house consistantly low in summer months. But, I feel getting the coins out of the paper rolls would probably prevent some potential for damage. I do not remove them from the paper rolls, so we'll just see how it all turns out in years to come.
I use those purpose made card board boxes for rolls. They are fairly thick, color coded, and has the denomination all over them. I know pres dollar rolls fit in silver dollar tubes, but there is a bit of slack on them though... Probably the safest to prevent toning though.
Anytime... Yea I really like the penny boxes cause it uses the classic dark red and is made of some stout card board. Probably going to get some more in different denomination next week. JP Corner is great store to get all kinds of numis supplies! There shipping usually takes about a week from CC order to get to your door. Not the fastest, but there prices make up for it! They also sale there goodies on EBAY... A little OT to your question, but just bought some Coin World Coin Slads from them last week, and all I can say wow! They are nice!!! I decided to use these slabs to house my Spouse bronze medals, but they are nice enough to use on pricey rare coins. Take a look-see if you haven't already done so...
