Yet another post! How would i go about sending coins in to get them graded do i call pcgs up and say hey can i send a coin in, or do you have to go through a dealer, Also i saw if you are a member of a club which is like 100 bucks a month or something with only a couple of submissions that seems a little ridclous for only a couple of coins getting graded, and if i did go to a dealer, granted if i can even find one, around what price should i be looking at?
If you only have a few it's best to find a local dealer. If you have more than a few, I would join PCGS. They have several levels you can join at. I think it starts at $129 for a year. You should check out the PCGS site.
Are you planning on getting alot of coins graded? I guess it kind of depends on your purpose. If I was going to resell on e-bay I would probably join a grading service, however, if I was just looking to get a few coins out of my personal collection graded I would probably go through a reputable dealer.
The coins are going to be from my personal collection not for resell, as of right now I have 5-10 coins i want graded but i am constantly getting new coins.
Most dealers are authorized PCGS dealers and can submit coins for you, charging you the fees and expenses of course. Check around locally. Otherwise you'll have to become a paid member, at $129 annually, and you still pay a submission fee, plus round trip shipping. Add it all up and see if the coin(s) are worth that much.
