He is in competition with another MS64 PCGS listed for $460. Maybe after that one sells, he is the only game in town, but against the other coin, it's too highly priced. IMHO

485/535 But that does not include the premium for a full head

It is a beautiful coin, no doubt about it. But he is asking waaaay too much.
RedBook in MS-63 is only $475. Coin Prices Magazine, another retail price catalog, lists MS-65 for that coin as 1200.
Don't have access to the current GreySheet, but I'll guesstimate that coin's bid/ask is somewhere betw $400-500.

I don't think the guy is that far off. Heritage sold one just like it for $1840 back in April and it don't look as nice as this one to me. PCGS FH bring big bucks over what Red Book shows.

I was wondering why it was already bid up to $1000. The full head must really be worth a premium. Either that or he's got a shill out there working for him.

485-535 according to greysheet, maybe add 10 for the plastic, and 20 for the FH, but for a 1917 fh is more typical than not.

Thanks. This is what I was searching for , but this sounds high for a 64FH dealer to dealer as well or is that the blue sheet your giving me ?

They typically do not trade for this money. Don't get me wrong , this is a real nice 64FH and it might even bump . I dare say, I am fairly certain this won't sell at his reserve price.

That is a nice coin and $1k is not unreasonable, IMO. $1.7k is pushing it -- unless it's an upgrade candidate, which it does not appear to be from the photo. I would pay no more than $1.25k for that coin, and frankly there's more value in a P mint if you're a type collector.

It appears to be a very nice coin.

The PCGS price guide adds $1050 for the FH on this coin. Not saying the guide is correct but it's probably close.
Those two little letters mean a lot to folks that collect these. It will be interesting to see if it sells.

$1,250 is pushing the envelope too . The best attribute this coin has to offer is the " Toning " . They more commonly are offered in Blast White . The current asking price is well above full retail . And, you are correct about the P mint issue . I'm sorta rooting for the bidders to hold their ground on this one . Interesting to watch how this plays out. Don't forget the added Sales Tax when you buy!
