How do I take a picture of a mint set?

I acquired a mint set today and was wondering how to take a picture of them.

I would use a camera.

Daguerreotypes have fallen out of favor.

 

Funny...lol was trying to take one without glare.

 

A camera records the image that is presented to it.

If you want to reduce glare, change the position of the cameras or the lights.

 

What kind of lighting are you using?

 

I use my smart phone

 

Bring some sort of lamp or other lighting source near the coin, and turn the flash off your phone.

Experiment with this until you can take pictures that you can honestly say we will be able to give you opinions from. You will need to take at least a hundred pictures.

 

those are tough with a phone, try putting a dime or penny under the half so its at a slight tilt..

 

The half dollar has a crack at the neck the same crack on bolt mints

 

Can you see the crack

 

does not look like a crack...
