Crappy e-bay photos but it is PCGS.

    Not bad at all.

While it is impossible to tell if the coin is graded properly from those crappy photos, PCGS is conservative in their grading of Jefferson Nickels so you are probably okay in that regard.

Numismedia Wholesale is $44, PCGS Price Guide is $60. Heritage archives are very light for this grade but are closer to the $30-$40 range. My opinion is that you paid retail price for the coin.

I like it. I think you did great. That's a coin I'd love to have and keep, even if my Jefferson collection is meager.

Keep in mind though that while this is a nice coin, there is nothing rare about it. 1939 P D and S business strikes are found fairly easily with either the "1938" or "1940" reverses.

It is the 1939 proof struck with a "reverse of 1940" that is relatively rare.

    Thanks,
    Bill
