    They pull wagons:

    They pull chariots at breakneck speed!

    Obv: Diademed and veiled head, l., palm branch behind.
    Rev: ΒΑΣΙΛΙΣΣΑΣ ΦΙΛΙΣΤΙΔΟΣ, Nike driving biga to left, E in l. field.
    Refs: SNG ANS 893; SNG III (Lockett) 1017; Forrer 196.

    They carry riders at a more leisurely pace:

    Hardly ancient but I like the simplicity of the horse drawn with minimal lines on this 3.5g AE jital from Sind of Nasir al-din Qarlugh, 1249-1259 AD
    As I understand it the obverse legend is Arabic while the reverse is Nagari.
