I want to see what everyone thinks about this one- It is a 1803 Draped Bust Large Cent -Small Date- Large Fraction Variety. Please give me you opinion on how you think this graded. I cracked it out of it's slab a few months ago .
Not counting the enviromental/rim damage I'd say the coin would grade VF-25. It's a beautiful piece Bone
I was gonna say VF as well - details wise. But those shots on the reverse might slow it down a bit. Nice details on the bust. What kind of slab was it in ?
I would guess ANACS graded it VF details, Net F 12, Damaged. Personally, I grade it about $50....Mike p.s. neat cud.
Yep. I don't think PCGS would slab it... they seem to give more weight to the rim than some others. Also... the green copper oxidation might disqualify it at PCGS / NGC. But NCS or ANACS would certainly grade it and give a "details" value... I'm thinkin' at least VF25. Maybe better due to good hair detail.
