Absolutely unbelievable! I got a new 2015 D Homestead quarter in change today from the gas station. The mint released them just today!!!

How is that possible???? My banks still have rolls of 2014 shiny pennies.

Not sure, but I'm suspecting it must be one of those sold at FV at the launch ceremony on Feb. 10.

I really like that design. It is what I think of when I think of Homesteader. Water, Food, House. Simple.

I agree. I remember seeing the other candidate designs, and thinking the CCAC chose well on this design.

Wait, is that doubling I see in the photo on the left corn stalk leaves. The loupe reveals (drum roll)...,that is only a reflection of the device in the field (sigh). Also inspected obverse, and found it to be a very weak strike with strong evidence of circulation. I conclude, this has been kicking around for two weeks. I'm still very pleased to have found it today.

We've had them at the Walmart where I work for two weeks.

Davdo, have you found that a weak obverse strike is typical? I'll bet you pulled a beauty for yourself. ☺ Circ finds keep me going until I'm able to get to a shop or bid on a wanted item. Still love filling the folders after all these years.

Do y'all get the D mint or P mint in Florida?

I found a P mint one today in New Hampshire; I got it in change from a hospital gift shop of all places.

I would have really preferred a naturalistic scene like most of its AtB predecessors. This looks like one of the mid-range state designs to me.
