    This is interesting :wideyed:

A few years ago, one of my Detecting buddies went to Nyack NY which is North of NYC. That's 35.8 miles away. He parked his car and waited for his girlfriend to go take care of something. He noticed that on the sidewalk there were old meters mounted on areas that had dirt and grass. He took his Metal detector out of his vehicle and tried a few swings. He found 2 silver coins and a buffalo nickel.

I think the nickel belonged in the parking meter. :)

Batman would put it in the meter where it belongs.

    HA!!!!

I once lived in a small town that had parking meters. After a while the town removed them as it cost more to collect the money than they made. :)

I lived in a larger city and they made their money on the parking tickets. The meter gave them the excuse to write the tickets.
