Found this in a roll of wheat pennies I bought. Humans are annoying...

I'd be annoyed with them, but they also tossed in my first steel penny. At this rate, though, I suppose I should be grateful that the steel penny wasn't cut in half...

Not sure why it's showing pink on the relief there. It doesn't show when I'm looking directly at it.

 

Nice-looking, old woodie. I could only hope I'm admired as much when I'm that old. On the pink, I'm no detective, you'll have to query somebody else on that one. I just take them as I find them, and get on...

 

Probably from the era when copper roofing washers went up to More Than A Penny apiece so people just started using pennies as washers to save money.

 

Huh, I just figured it was a poor attempt at a necklace or something. Interesting.
