    I'm not 100% sure either way but I'm leaning towards authentic. If so, awesome find!!!, here is a comparison if it helps anyone:

    Mushyness in the date and mint mark could be artifacts of circulation. For sure that isn't a full Red MS example.

    See if you can see any of the die file marks on the reverse, the one under the R shows well and should be fairly well protected on a circulated coin. It might help if you are able to post a photo of that area. 1969 s ddo 2.jpg
