I got one for you...I was off today andwatching the box set of Hogans I got for x-mas from my sons, anyhow Kinchlow was flipping a half dollor imitatating Col Klink and when I stopped the disc and zoomed in I noticed he was flipping a Ben Franklin..hehehee coin collectors......just posting alittle humor...:mouth: Neal
OK I thought it was funny...the setting is during WWII...hahhaaa During the sixth season you see a kennedy half.....hahhaa
Funny stuff! I'll have to watch for that episode. TVLand is running the series on cable. Another American influence from filming is that Schultz totes an American made Springfield 30-40 Krag rifle the whole time (look for the side magazine below the bolt), which is odd since it would have been real easy for them to aquire a genuine German 98 Mauser as a prop. They're still widely available. Rick L.
a lil off topic but made me think of the family guy where there kept saying strawpenny (as one word) over and over, I think it was a joke aimed at collecters, lol. edit: I know theres a wheat collector grinding his teeth somewhere
Wow a whole strawpenny (ha penny) for a burger! What a value. Also in family guy they find a rhode island token worth a bizzilian dollars under the carpet.
Hobby61 my sons took me to watch that show...when it was one, just to bust my stones...I think...hmmmmm hahahahahhaaaa Thanks, Neal
I once saw an episode of The Wild, Wild West where Jim West and Artemus Gordon devise some sort of explosive device that looks like a silver dollar. The entire series is supposed to happen during the presidency of US Grant (1869-1877). Yet the dollar they showed was a Morgan dollar, first minted in 1878. No wonder Jim kept his thumb over the date when they showed a close-up!
Maybe it was a pattern ! Those can be worth big money, ya know. But not this one. It would body-bag; it's been thumbed. :headbang: ouch
