Hobo Nickels

    Hey. I have recently seen some hobo nickels and i want to start collecting some but i dont know if im getting a good deal or not. can someone please tell me how to determine the value of them and any other information about hobo nickels. i dont really know much about them.

    Hobo nickels are a form of artwork, some are poorly done, some well done, some are simply amazing. Value is going to come down to the quality of the engraving and possibly who did it. If you are happy with how much you paid then there isn't any reason to worry about it, if you are looking to resale it is going to come down to eye-appeal. Feel free to post some pictures if you want some opinions based on specific coins.

    i dont really know. i think i want to start off collecting some original ones and then maybe buy some of the modern beautiful ones. any advice?

    Buy what you like & what ever type you like , you cant be wrong if you like it. Watch the "market" for a few weeks or months,learn about the different types, artists & quality designations. Spend what your budget allows when you feel comfortable & enjoy.
