Hobo Nickel -- HAVE PICS NOW!

I have a Hobo nickel by "BERT" and it doesn't have a year on it. It also doesnt look like it ever had a year that just got worn off because everything on the coin is in very good condition. the front has a man wearing a hat and the back has a buffalo. i was wondering how much something like this is worth and if it is normal to not have a year. I was able to take a picture now but its kinda blurry and it makes the coin look like its in a little worse condition then its actually in, but so you can get an idea, here it is:

    thanks in advance.

If you found it roll searching, then you only have .05 cents invested, why not keep it?

Does it look anything like this? I found this roll searching awhile back.

i didnt just happen to come across it, although it would have been pretty nice to. my grandpa always gives me boxes full of old coins and tells me if theres anything valuable i can sell it and keep the money, so im wondering how much i could get for it. does anyone else have some names of hobo experts?

it looks somewhat like that but in better condition and its a different guy on the front. also it says "bert" under the guys hat and i read up on what it meant and its one of the most famous hobo nickel makers who wears away the L , the I, and the Y in the word liberty to make his name there. it also said that they are rare and highly prised, so im gettin kinda excited haha.

I saw some prices of these, if this is in an excellent condition, it could be worth 2k.

A new auction record for a single hobo nickel was set in the Heritage Auction. Lot 8152, a carving by “Bert” Wiegand, the mentor for “Bo” George Washington Hughes, sold for $5,750 with the 15 % buyer’s fee. This nickel was obtained by Troy Wiseman in OHNS Auction #12 at the 2004 FUN Show.

It seems you have something of extreme value. Do not clean it and not touch it at all!

    Watch your breath also.
