I do not have a camera at the moment so I cannot take pictures but I wondered if anyone here would know what the coins are by description. Also I am interested in what they are worth...I doubt they will be worth anything to be honest but it would just be nice to know. Unidentified 1: An Arab type coin from 1987, silver in colour. One side says 50 which I am guessing was the value and it has Arabic style writing going through it. Around the number is a wreath style flower ring. On the opposite side there is more Arabic writing at the top, a star and moon underneath that (the same star and room from the Algerian flag but positioned differently) and then the date is underneath the moon. Unidentified 2: Front says 1968 on the bottom and it has a picture of a car in the middle. Writing at the top says N.S.U Ro80. On the back it has shells logo (as in the company) and underneath it says The first saloon car with a rotary wankel engine. Someone gave me a jar of coins, mostly two shillings George VI dated 1947 - 1951 (I have 69 of the buggers lol) and also some 1908 one penny Edward VII coins.
The second one has to be a token and not a coin. as for the first one it could be many things.... and without a pic I cannot be of help. Sorry but as usual I am absolutely useless. good luck
The reason there is a Shell emblem on the auto piece is that it is part of a series on historically important autos put out by Shell as advertising in the 60's. Those were the days of trading stamps, and gifts for filling your tank with ~20¢ regular or ~22¢ ethyl.
