I work for a parts company and a older gentleman got into a car accident across the street, I ran over and helped him out before his cab caught on fire. He gave me a coin and told me to Cherish it.... So I'm just curious what exactly is it? It says WellsFargo since 1852 And on the other side with the eagle I believe it has the initials MM
Video game arcade token? HH is Hoffman & Hoffman, a company which made arcade tokens before 1999. Here is the reverse of an arcade token with the same eagle: (From ShopMania)
I wouldn't toss it icekiller, wait and see if anyone else weighs in on it later. The eagle (reverse?) does look like an arcade token though. Can you tell what medal it's made from? Bruce
It has some meaning to you, you might have saved the life of the person that gave it to you. The coins my father collected might not be worth a bunch, but I'll never part with them. Some coins and or tokens can have more than just a simple dollar value. I would just cherish the token like he said, you always have a story to make it interesting.

I don't know what the token is exactly, but I would doubt it is a normal arcade token. The reverse certainly looks like an arcade token, but the obverse has the Wells Fargo logo on it, so it must have some association with the bank. Possibly it was given to customers or employees as part of a promotion. I recently found a similar token in a roll of half dollars. The one I have is larger than a small dollar but smaller than a half. The obverse is the same as yours with a slightly different font. The reverse on mine has the Pony Express logo, a denomination of one dollar, and the words "Lightning Fast" "Wells Fargo and the Pony Express 150 Years" I haven't found any more information about my token either, but I presume it has some connection with this: http://www.wellsfargohistory.com/ponyexpress/ponyExpress.html
It is a token given to visitors to the wells fargo museums b4 2000.There were millions made, however they are hard to find.I would be interested in it if you decide to get rid of it.
I think you are most likely right but it was worth a try. They are not very valuable, but are hard to find.
