Hmm machine doubling or DD?

    This state quarter stuck out right away too me, appeared to have bold lettering. Then once I looked closer, saw doubling. But I'm unsure if this is a double die error or just machine doubling. I took a few pics, any input is greatly appreciated.

    I'm sorry about the awful quality of these pics, guess my phone isn't made for taking close ups! Also the whole "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" has this doubling I'm talking about ;). Thanks again for your help guys, you guys are the best ;).:thumb:

    Seems to look like MD to me...

    I agree it's machine. It is pretty slight, and it is shelf like and lower than the actual wording.

    I tend to keep machine doubled coins purely for my enjoyment, as I know they aren't worth much if anything over face. I only have a few but i still think they are cool. Makes a good conversation piece if you can explain to someone how it happened.
