LOL One good benefit of slabbed coins for non coin collector is all they need to do is to take a photo of it and copy that infomation. Hilarious
Man, it is funny, but also sad. Feel bad for the husband. I'd be pretty hot if that happened to me. Wonder when the husband will figure out some of his coins are missing. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: Phoenix
Yes, no bids yet, so she has now listed them as: "1904-O MS65 Morgan Slightly Toned Looks Nice-Please Bid" New logic: beg for bids.
Well yeah? I am the only one that has access to the cardboard box I keep mine in! Umm, I think I should save up to buy a safe. Might come in handy. :goofer: Phoenix
Hijack OK Actually this is legit. The same lady posted to the Collector's forum about it a day or so ago. The husband knows and agrees with the sale to get money for a new car. He is Morganhunter on the collector's forum. It has happened before too with gold coins; seems the old men can't be bothered selling their coins but the ladies will do it to raise cash. It is all done with the hubbie's permission.
haha but I don't have a wife! (yet!) Check out my user profile: http://www.cointalk.org/member.php?u=6756
It's all possible but I would think the story given is just to help sell the coins. Just to many stories on the internet that could or could not be true. The way I look at it is if her husband knows about these sales, why not do it himself? Why not attempt to sell off items that he wants and not someone else? If he knows about this, approves of it all, why not just take out a loan and buy the car rather than all this? If he is a member of coin forums, why not try selling them through the forums? Just to many questions where the other options are just to many.
It pays to be skeptical; my Scandinavian grandparents taught me that. But there is a healthy difference between paranoia and skepticism. Why not visit Collector's Universe yourself and see? She is the wife of MorganHunter2 and this is an honest sale with his full permission.
