I found a 1953 D lincoln Wheat penny with the mint mark really high up and the top of the D is even with the bottom of the 9, is this normal or is this an offset mark, error?

    Welcome to coin Talk.
It is a normal occurrence for the mint-mark to vary in its position, due to the fact they were punched into the die by hand before ~1992.
