I was going through some wheaties today and ran across a 1958d that seems to have a high mint mark. Is this a significant find or fairly common?

My scans aren't the best, but if you click to enlarge, you will see where I tried to show the difference between the left (lower) and right (higher). The top of the D on the left is distincly below the bottom of the date, while on the right, the same line would touch the D. The bottom the the D on the right has a greater distance south to the coat than the left one.

BTW, I also have found the same difference between a couple of 1943S cents.

    Thanks,
    Jon

Fairly common, mint marks were punched into the dies by hand so the placement is somewhat random.
