So I sell on GreedBay for a living and I've noticed a trend. People are paying WAY too much for damaged coins in high grade. Like if I have a perfect common date VF seated quarter, it sells for less than an XF-AU details scratched and cleaned coin! So I think that since 90% of eBayers are looking to spend less than say $100 on a coin, they fight over the ones with the most detail, not caring about the "gradability" of it. Corrosion, cleaning, scratches, damage, even HOLED sometimes: they all sell for a small fortune if they have high grade details.
