Picked up this Morgan from a Pawn Shop. $18. It's a bit scratched, but the details are nice. Think it's worth more than $18? Either way I'm happy :)

silver content should be around 17+ and if its a VAM,which there are a ton for 1921,could be worth alot more, but 18$ suites the price.Still a good buy, hold on to it,and as silver creep's up you will be happier.

Most VAMs don't have a premium.

I assume this is a scan, and it is difficult to see luster in a scan. It doesn't look to be better than AU, and the fingerprint on the obverse between 3 & 4 o'clock doesn't help. Silver is at $17.71 Bid, so melt value would be $13.70 which is close to the value of an AU coin.

Actually, the silver content (as of 4-17) is $13.65. This coin commonly sells in the $15 to $18 range.

Right on the money. It is a nice coin but those 21's are among the most common morgans. I think you got a fair or good deal...probably would fetch $20-24 on ebay. I can't tell by the pic, but if it had nice luster I'd buy it for $18. You did OK!

Looks cleaned- I would say 18 is a tad high for it, but its not a bad pickup.
