My name is bill from nc. I had some wheat pennies about a year ago and looked them up on Google for value and curiosity. The more I read and started learning about error coin that is what I'm really interested in. It amazes me that a penny can be worth so much money and that mistakes in minting is the cause for the premium
I don't want to curb your enthusiasm, but the majority of common errors are not worth a lot. Errors like grease-filled dies, rotated dies less than 45 degrees (for dealers, 90 degrees), minor strikethroughs, die cracks, die chips, etc. are just too common. Chris
Ive realized that. My real interest are in the doubled dies. I am getting ready to post a couple of dimes I would like opinions on just because of how jacked up they are
Hi there and welcome again. These forums are for public discussion and are open to all members for participation.
Welcome! I must admit, though, errors are not my field, but I still check these error threads, occasionally.
Cool so I have a quarter I'm going to post it. Something to do with clad layer maybe but I've never seen this twould tone color
