Well it's supposed to be an 8 reales struck at the Santiago De Chile mint in 1752. Unfortunately it's a fake.
Please post pics of the individual coins - 1 at a time. Crop the pics and make them as large as you can and still have them fit on the screen. And please post pics of both sides. These coins are frequently counterfeits and better quality pics are a must if I am to offer any meaningful help.
I wish that folks would realize that a lot of the coins that come out of China, especially out of Shang Hai are Counterfeits! They are even duping their own folks and selling them package deals of these counterfeited coins then these folks try to sell them on eBay thinking that they are real. I had one gentleman actually weigh and measure a coin's diameter for me and he was very apologetic when I told hime that the coin was a counterfeit. It seem that he had traveled to Shang Hai from his small town in China and picked up the coin in question and many others from a vendor on the street. Another big problem is that some of the folks that purchased counterfeited coins from China, are now trying to recoup their' losses by reselling them on eBay. Frank
the 8 reales at the top of the page weigh in at 22 g ill get them scaned and ill put them on thanks for the help
Are you referring to just the first coin or all of them ? I ask because I have already told you the coin dated 1752 is a fake. That isn't a maybe - it is an absolute certainty. That particular mint did not even strike any 8 reales dated 1752. Also - ANY Spanish colonial 8 reales weighing 22 grams is a fake - period. The weight tolerance for an 8 reales is 27.2638 grams maximum & 26.8646 grams minimum. Even well worn examples in Fine condition will weigh over 26.5 grams.

No reason to be sorry for anything - everybody has to start someplace and only a few know about these types of coins to begin with. I am more than happy to offer you any and all help I can
