Hello there, So I was given a few coins from a family member who passed away and after about 2 years I started to look into it and try to learn about coin collecting. So right now I'm for sure still learning but feel like I may know enough to seek assistance about somethings and learn more from it! So if you don't mind, to anyone willing... I have this 1982D Small date zinc (I know about all of that stuff cuz of its popular cousin the 1982D copper of course small date, lol) But when examining and figuring out what I could about this penny I found out that it also is a very well sought after penny if it happens to be a Double Die? I read and looked at pictures and tried to compare... I just would like some others opinions and at the least gain some knowledge! All is appreciated , Thanks!
So few things Welcome to CoinTalk Please explain what variety or error you are suspicious of this coin about, helps us all stay on the same page You may need better pictures, focused and as close as reasonably possible. And straight above the coin with the coin laying flat, not angled. Have fun!
Ok.. the actual Numismatic Terminology is Doubled Die not double die. I don't see any doubling at all on the 1 picture you provided. Welcome to CoinTalk
