http://www.usmint.gov/pressroom/index.cfm?action=Photo#50state look at them their some really good ones like OK and AK
I like Alaska the best followed by Hawaii. As a set it should be really sharp. A nice conclusion to a nice series I hope.
Lovely looking coins :thumb: need one more pair for this year and then them and that will be my first compleated set LOL
I usually like coins with animals pictured somewhere. The Alaskan bear is nice but doesn't compare to a soaring, walking or perched Eagle. Bruce
Man, Alaska and Arizona are ny favs! Very nice. Just can't wait till the mint releases them, oh man that mint page will have a heck of a time loading! Phoenix
There are some very good designs coming for 2008, especially Alaska. New Mexico is a typical, boring "state outline"; it could have been so much better (can anyone say "Daniel Carr")? My thoughts on the series: Favorite: Nevada, followed closely by Washington (but, we'll see what Alaska looks like in hand). Least Favorite: Wyoming
Of the five I like Alaska the best. They had some other nice possibilities as well. One of the few states that had more than one good choice to pick from. OK is not great but the best of the five design they had to chose from. Hawaii is not bad but I don't think it is as good as the one that won the popular choice vote. And at least they held firm against the Commission of Fine Arts that wanted to get rid of the inscription because it wasn't in english.
alaska is a really good design! these state quarters are good, becuase they probaly made millions of new collectors out there. the president dollar probaly did too. state quarters make those old worn out eagle back quarters look plain.
hawaii king hawaii king looks like a nice, good man. i like if the design is more manhood. alaska is the best. overall, virginia is the top one. no wonder its mintage is the highest.
