Yeah but I don't use Heritage because of the Buyer's Premium. Those Buyer Premiums really tick me off!
Don't they ask all those personal questions , like SS# , how secure are they , is it smart to give your SS# , or am I wrong . I guess you just have to figure the primiums into what your willing to pay . rzage
Bid accordingly. Don't worry about a buyers premium - figure it in with your bid. So watch Heritage and Ebay and figure what you can get a coin for and then bid. I like Heritage.
I bought a rather expensive item from Heritage a few months ago. I mailed them a chech and they shipped my coin to me after my check cleared. I did not have to give them my SSN or any personal info at all. They just wanted to make sure my check was good.
You pay a buyer's premium every time you buy a coin - from anybody. The only difference is the auction houses like Heritage tell you about it while the others don't.
they seem to be taking a LOOOOONG time sending out coins. I've been waiting since May25 for a coin, I called today and they still had not sent it!!! they seem to be dropping the ball, I hope they are not going down the toilet.
What did you do - pay by Pony Express? I paid for one Sunday and it was sent Tuesday. Every coin I have won from them has followed the same pattern. I used PayPal and/or a charge card to pay for them.
they had a lot of auctions to fulfill my shipment was alo delayed but when i called they helped out you should speak to the troll
Now I see why it took them two days to process my payment for an auction I won tuesday. You guys were keeping them tied up shipping.
No, including ebay. I said any coin from anyone. If you buy a coin on Heritage for $115 - that is $100 for your bid and $15 for the buyers premium. And if you buy the very same coin on ebay for $115 - what's the difference ? The only difference is that the ebay seller didn't tell you that he only paid $100 for the coin and sold to you for $115 - $15 buyer's premium. All Heritage does is break down the purchase price into 2 components - bid plus buyer's premium. It still equals 1 total price. Ebay sellers, and any other seller, just sells it to you for 1 total price. So don't fool yourself - you pay a buyer's premium with every coin you buy, no matter who it's from.
Technically, no! eBay charges a SELLER'S premium. Heritage does make the buyers premium hard to miss, but you do not hear much about their seller's premium which they also charge. However, you are correct - it is what you pay for the coin that counts in the end. Regardless of the buyer's premium, seller's premium and shipping.
in terms of hammer price you dont pay a premium on ebay now what you are saying is that the bidder has factored that into the bidding process which can be true or not depending on the bidder
